Social Impact

Art-ish creates employment opportunities for artists who may not have had access to traditional employment pathways. By providing them with work experience, training, and a platform to showcase their talent, Art-ish helps these artists build their careers and generate income. We also host brush and bond team building sessions which can have a positive impact on the economy by improving productivity, fostering creativity and collaboration, boosting employee satisfaction, and generating revenue for the businesses.

Art-ish fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can come together to brush and bond. Our community art projects are very engaging allowing the community to connect and engage through the shared experience of creating art. By promoting diversity and equality, Art-ish helps break down social barriers and create a sense of community.

Sustainable Impact

Art-ish prioritise sustainability in our operations by using eco-friendly paints, brushes made from sustainable materials and recycle products to have a positive impact on the environment. We believe that creating art should not come at the cost of harming the environment.

Health and Wellbeing Impact

Art-ish also promote health and wellbeing by providing a relaxing environment for people to unwind and de-stress. Painting and creating art can be a meditative and calming activity that can help to improve mental health and wellbeing. Our commission artworks and murals also contribute to creating a more pleasant and welcoming environment fostering a greater sense of community and enhancing the overall quality of life in the area.

Art-ish addresses the complex barriers to employment for artists by implementing an inclusive and supportive approach. Our key strategies include:

Art-ish Inclusive & Supportive Approach

  • Creating Inclusive Opportunities: We aim to break down barriers and create a more inclusive and diverse environment in the art sector by providing opportunities for artists to become facilitators/instructors, showcasing their work, and providing a diverse perspective. This enables them to gain recognition and valuable employment experience.

  • Flexible Employment: We offer flexible and casual employment, scheduling shifts as required. Thus providing meaningful employment while accommodating their individual needs.

  • Showcasing Artwork: We provide various platforms (online and during our events) for artists to showcase and sell their artwork. By offering these opportunities, we enable artists to gain exposure, build their portfolios, and generate income from their creative endeavours.

  • Community Projects and Events: Art-ish actively involves artists in community art projects and events to contribute their skills, inspire others, and connect with a diverse network. These experiences offer employment opportunities and foster personal growth.

  • Mentorship Opportunities: We offer invaluable mentorship programs facilitated by established artists. Through these mentorship opportunities, emerging artists receive guidance, advice, and support to develop their skills, navigate challenges, and prepare for successful careers in the mainstream art industry.
